THE RELATIONSHIP OF ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION WITH STRESS, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN STUDENTS OF THE MEDICAL STUDY PROGRAM, FACULTY OF MEDICINE, UNDIP

Background: Academic procrastination is defined as a learner's tendency to delay learning-related activities, which in many cases eventually causes anxiety and stress. Studying at home tends cause feeling of having lot free time, postponing work. Students who often procrastinate tend experience depression more than students do not procrastinate.Aim: To prove the relationship between academic stress, anxiety, due COVID-19 pandemic.Method: This research was cross-sectional study with 184 respondents. The conducted November 2021. respondents were UNDIP medical batch 2020. questionnaires used Procrastination Scale for Student (PASS) Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21). Data taken from questionnaire after agreed informed consent analyzed using Spearman correlation test.Results: As 70,1% female. Almost 50% have high level procrastination. A total 21.7% experienced severe very 55.4% 50.4% depression. positively correlated stress levels (r=0.468, p<0.001), (r=0.401, p<0.001).Conclusion: during pandemic has significant moderate positive correlation.Keywords: ; Anxiety Depression Pandemic.
